CORAL GABLES MAN ELECTED TO NARFE NATIONAL OFFICE
New NARFE Region III VP Don Stewart
Don Stewart, a resident of Coral Gables, was elected to the National Executive Board
(NEB) of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) at
NARFE's 31st Biennial Convention held recently in Grand Rapids, MI.
Stewart, a past president of NARFE's Florida Federation of Chapters, will represent
NARFE Region III (Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Puerto Rico
and the Virgin Islands).
During his civilian federal service, Stewart served in the Department of State, where he
served as Alternate U.S. Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS).
He also worked at the Library of Congress, where he was Editor of the Handbook of
Latin American Studies.
Stewart is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Captain.
